I had [Shortcodes by Angie Makes]. The core problem: CVE-2023-23725, which had a broken access control issue. It allowed an attacker to exploit incorrectly configured access. The previous plugin had a large control over my theme; I had to find a new secure like-for-like functionality, which Shortcode Ultimate has, but more importantly, it is up to date with security patches and isn’t booted off WordPress. I had to reconfigure 30 pages, which took me 15 hours, but it was worth it, as the new plugin has enhanced my website significantly.
